Fire vaults urged as protection for business papers
Tom McKusick of Mosler Safe Co told Phoenix Society members that about a quarter of Valley firms lack proper fire resistant vaults. He warned architects and engineers often misdesign vaults with two hour fire walls and doors, risking paper ignition at 350 degrees. He noted tapes and microfilm face heat, humidity, and damage limits.

The USDA pegs 1974-75 corn production at 4.97 billion bushels versus earlier 5.95 6.22 billion.
