Motorcycle rider injured after losing control near Scottsdale

Scottsdale woman held on shoplifting and marijuana charges
Pamela Bishop, 22, of 7525 E. Pierce in Scottsdale, is jailed after arrest at the K-Mart store on East McDowell Road for shoplifting. Police say a security guard found a plastic bag containing marijuana in her handbag after a 5:30 p.m. search. She awaits city court arraignment.

Five injuries in Scottsdale police probe of eleven accidents
Scottsdale Police Department investigated eleven motor vehicle accidents over an 18 hour period ending Saturday morning. Five involved personal injuries. John S. Parks, 18, Tempe, was injured when a red light violator struck his stopped Datsun at 64th Street and Thomas Road. Heidi Hatsell, 22, Phoenix, sustained minor injuries when her car collided with a Jeep at Scottsdale and Osborn Roads. Virginia Anderson, 51, was injured when her husband’s car was hit at Hayden and McDowell Roads by a red light violator. Joseph M. Germin, 26, Phoenix, was hurt when his motorcycle skidded on 73rd Street. Otis Youngblood, 32, sustained minor injuries after falling asleep at the wheel and hitting a parked car on Chaparral. Six additional minor crashes were reported Friday.
