Linda Kasabian Granted Immunity in Manson Case

Linda Kasabian was granted immunity from prosecution by Superior Court Judge Charles H. Older in Los Angeles as the prosecution pursues the Tate LaBianca murders. The 21 year old, blonde witness testified she accompanied defendants to both crime scenes last August and could remain in custody or choose to stay in jail while continuing to testify against Charles Manson and three co defendants. The court rejected a mistrial motion by Irving Kanarek who claimed Kasabian lied on the witness stand. Deputy District Attorney Aaron Stovitz said immunity could remove taint on her testimony and that she would likely tell the truth whether in custody for life or not.
