President Dwight D. Eisenhower, 77, suffered his sixth heart attack this morning at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Officials said he is comfortable and free of pain after the chest pains followed a televised Republican National Convention address from Miami Beach.

Four wounded in Watts District park shooting
At least four people were wounded early today when gunfire erupted at Will Rogers Park in Watts Los Angeles. Among the injured, two men Jerry Watson 19 and Bobby Ephriam 27 were in serious condition. Police placed eight divisions on tactical alert as a large crowd pelted officers with rocks and bottles. The Watts festival opened previously and was not linked to the earlier Crenshaw district shootout.

Stolen car hits another. driver flees after crash
A car stolen from Madison Chevrolet around 5 0 p m collided with a second car at 2122 N Scottsdale Rd. The stolen vehicle driver fled. Olaf Olsen 54 of 3308 N 701K St had his car hit and the thief unknown.
