Low were released by North Vietnam and arrived in Vientiane with pacifists Stewart Meecham Ann Scheer and Vernon Grizzard aboard an International Commission plane. U.S. officials planned to help them return to the United States via commercial flights amid a prior North Vietnamese critique over earlier prisoner transfers.

William K. Braasch, 78, of 6631 E Barll Dr, died Thursday at Scottsdale Baptist Hospital. A former Evanston, Illinois resident, born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, he was an author and lecturer on salesmanship. Survived by wife Clara, daughter Charlotte Dunham of Tucson, two other daughters out of state, and six grandchildren. Cremation at Green Acres Mortuary with no service.
