John Wesley Schroeder 37 who was condemned to death for murder faces a May 23 sentence on second degree murder and assault with deadly weapon charges after pleading Tuesday before Judge William. He was convicted in 1961 of first degree murder in a Scottsdale gun battle in which Frank Anderson 25 was killed using as a shield.
