Police Have Lead In Postman Death
In Gadsden Alabama police said they have a very good lead in the killing of William L. Moore a 35 year old Baltimore postman who was slain during an integration march. Deputy Sheriff Tony Reynolds declined to discuss specifics while confirming active pursuit of suspects. Investigators examined tire tracks and two 22 caliber bullets found at the roadside park where Moore died thirteen miles from Gadsden. Moore had been warned three times that he would be killed for his beliefs. President Kennedy and Governor Wallace voiced outrage over the slaying.

Professor Found Poisoned At ASU
Dr. William H. R. Shaw, chemistry professor at Arizona State University, was found dead in his campus office. An autopsy would determine the cause. authorities said he apparently committed suicide with poison. A rambling note and a cyanide-containing beaker were found nearby. Shaw had joined ASU in February after a UT Austin career during which he earned teaching awards and was nominated for outstanding young man of the year. He is survived by Ena, his separated wife, and a son.
