Secretary of the Interior Stewart Udall spent four days in Arizona visiting the Salt River and Ft. McDowell reservations east of Scottsdale. He discussed a 160 acre lease for a junior college site on Salt River land and toured ruins of the former Army post at Ft. McDowell, urged preservation.
