A Tulsa group calling itself The Energy Advocates will discuss the U.S. energy situation and private enterprise at Arizona State University with a four member panel including Dr. Eugene Swearingen of Bank of Oklahoma and E.D. Wilson of Seismograph Service Corp. The talk is at 3 p.m. in ASU College of Business fourth floor Flag Room.
Datawest Corporation of Scottsdale was selected by the Republic of China to supply a computerized safety monitoring system for the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research reactor under construction in Taiwan. The 128 channel data system uses Datawest high speed equipment to monitor fuel rod temperatures and to shut the reactor down if thermal runaway is imminent. Datawest will provide the Interdata 716 minicomputer and peripherals for system control.
