Gunman Slays Priest At Franciscan Monastery
A 51 year old Ro man Catholic priest Father Cuthbert Seward was shot to death at point blank range in the doorway of a Franciscan Monastery in Vancouver British Columbia. Police said the killer fled after firing a rifle shot when the priest answered the doorbell. Two children near the scene gave the description of the assailant and the weapon. The gunman tossed the rifle from a window and surrendered to detectives after being questioned.
