Skill Center aids welfare-to-work transition in Maricopa County
Scottsdale businessman Jack F. Riddle heads the Maricopa County Skill Center in Phoenix. The open entry system trains unemployed and underemployed residents in local-demand occupations. Trainees earn about 55 dollars weekly while learning and aim to become self supporting taxpayers.
