Brother Sun Sister Moon at Cine Capri
Religious themed Zeffirelli film presents Franchesco, a war-weary youth seeking freedom and leadership of a holy movement. Alec Guinness as the Pope contrasts with Francesco’s peasants who long for simple love and flight like birds. Donovan’s music emphasizes the film’s contemplative mood and 17th century costumes. The run time depends on audience response.
