Vista del Camino Library Becomes Bilingual Community Hub
Elvira Chavez oversees Scottsdale’s Vista del Camino branch, a bilingual library mixing English and Spanish materials. The small branch, opened last October, serves Yaqui families and local children with story hours, cassette programs, and outreach like a Home Management Seminar. The center operates with its own budget, processing area, and a courier link to the main library, offering a full catalog and a thriving, lively environment.
