Tragedy on I-17 Claims Coronado High Grad
A 1973 Coronado High graduate, Steven John Parker, 20, of Mesa, died in a two vehicle crash on I-17 near the McDowell Road overpass. Parker was a passenger in a southbound truck driven by Hans Andreas Stadem Jr. The truck rear caught fire and collided with a southbound car driven by Raymond Thomas Kilday. Witnesses say Parker was pulled from the truck as it folded its door and was run over by Kilday's car.

City will assist Fifth Avenue merchants with sign problems
Timothy Bray head of the city’s community development department told about 25 Fifth Avenue merchants the city staff will work individually to fix sign issues.
