Red Cross Turns Over 175000 Pints Of Blood For Korea
The American Red Cross has supplied over 175000 pints of blood for Korean wounded and military stockpiling since August. Private banks with the Red Cross contributed more than 38000 pints. Whole blood flies to the Far East and is processed into plasma for stockpiling and domestic hospitals. Collections have tripled since last July and must rise further to meet needs.
