Samuel Raymond Clark of Marmaduke North Carolina a Littleton High School student drowned Monday afternoon in Panacea Springs Lake. He and a companion swam out then struggled as he became exhausted Prof Browning and Prof Beachboard attempted rescue but could not save him with Browning and Beachboard pulled from the lake and a nearby boat assisting two hours passed before his body could be recovered.
