Halifax County Democratic Convention met in Halifax on Tuesday June 26. E. Travis opened the session as chairman with E. Hil lard as permanent chairman and Stainback and Huaithcock as permanent secretaries. Delegates by township were chosen for county offices and the Senate and House nominations set. W. E. Daniel endorsed for Senate, J. B. Neal and A. P. Kitchin named as House nominees. Delegates to the State and Judicial conventions were appointed. convention adjourned with E. L.
