Read about a remedy for kidney and bladder trouble in children and adults. The advertisement promotes a bottle of Root to support urinary health and urges buyers to use the genuine product from Dr Kilmer Co and warns against imitations.
Dr Stiles identified hookworm disease in 1902 and since then extensive data on spread and infection. In fall 600 students from four North Carolina colleges tested 334 percent infected. in Chicamauga camp 25 percent of soldiers were infected. Some counties report up to 50 percent. Halifax treated over 100 cases with favorable results. The worm attacks the small bowel, causes fatigue headaches poor appetite and heart palpitations. larvae enter skin from contaminated soil causing dew poison or ground itch. Dr C F Stresinder spoke at Enfield on flies mosquitoes and hookworm disease.
