Magazine scammer jailed after court Conviction

In Warrenton on Monday Superior Court heard the case of State nst T. V. Cooper alias C. H. Coleman alias Jim Coleman alias F. W. Fra who pretended to be a mute to win magazine subscriptions. He traveled across states, was jailed in Baton Rouge, escaped, and continued the scheme. Nash county ties claimed. jury convicted after brief deliberation and sentenced him to two years. Local publishers praised for the capture.

Death of Mr R J Fleming Leaves Community Mourning

Mr R J Fleming died at his home last Tuesday afternoon after a short illness from a carb on the back of his neck. He was about three years of age. He is survived by seven children, two brothers and a sister. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock. The community extends deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
