On the thirty sixth day February 14 the Wilmington Messenger reports final readings authorizing Gaston county bonds for roads and a repeal of a law affecting four counties. February 15 expands Tenant and Landlord protections to many counties with detailed penalties and contracted rents. February 16 agendas include ammonia cotton seed standard debates and a reformatory bill. February 17 covers jury challenges and railroad fare debates with local anecdotes from the New York World and remarks by Bryan and Bartlett.
