In 1860 Rev Betts heard an old woman claim the heart does not grow old. On March 31 1901 at Littleton Female College Miss Lillian Lynn Morton read a poem to Uncle Betts and his wife presenting lines about enduring youth and memory. The piece blends reflections on aging, love memories, and eternal youth with a later note promoting DeWitts Little Early Risers for cleansing the system.
