Sjolander to Lead Bayard National Bank as Cashier
Marion Sjolander 28, operations manager at First National Bank for four years, will become cashier at First National Bank of Bayard effective November 1. He will move with wife Ann and daughters Janette and Jean from Ogallala, where he led Jaycee membership drives and belongs to the Elks. Sjolander previously worked in Lincoln and Wichita, Kans., and is a native of Scandia, Kansas. He attended Salina Business School and Santa Fe Trailways in Wichita. The family attends the Methodist church.

Robert Doctor known as Bob of Scandia died September 25 1963 at Republic County hospital after lengthy illness. Immediate survivors include wife Adda two daughters Janet Sargent Sedan Catherine Walker Denver. three sons Paul Kennerwick Dudley Ogden Thornton Belleville. 21 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren one brother Ben Doctor Lawrence and one sister Nellie Wells Belleville. Funeral services were held September 28 1968 at the Scandia Methodist Church with burial at Poplar Grove Cemetery.
