Kansas special session marks rapid impeachment drive

Last Saturday afternoon local citizens joined in the official opening of the coffee drinkin season. A large crowd visited Coleman's Store during the afternoon and evening to partake of coffee and lunch.

Railroads pay 54,714.37 and 1929 672,246.53 to 1933 400,467.09 show economizing county operations and thrift across divisions.

Railroads to Reduce Fares Beginning December First

Beginning December first fare reductions will go into effect on all lines west of Chicago. Ten day round trip tickets will cost two cents per mile. round trips limited to six months will sell for two and one half cents per mile. Special tickets for coaches and chair cars will cost two cents per mile. Fare to Chicago from Scandia drops to 19.61 dollars for regular tickets and 13.07 for coaches and chair cars. Coach tickets to Omaha will be 3.11. to Kansas City about 4.20.

Scandia Wins at Jamestown in Unbeaten Season

The Flying Swedes defeated Jamestown 6 to 0 on Jamestown’s field, extending Scandia’s undefeated streak to four games. Kansas Wheat Payments Hit Over 24 Million

Kansas wheat growers will receive more than 24 million dollars in wheat adjustment payments during the next months. The estimate is based on 95 percent sign up of applications for contracts and ranks Kansas first in expected payments, followed by North Dakota and Montana with varying sign up levels. Delays in some states may raise the national estimate beyond 80 percent.
