Registration Day Sets Up Selective Draft Across Nation
President Wilson signed the War Army Bill and proclaimed a selective draft registration for men aged 21 to 30. Registration on June 5 runs 9 am to 5 pm at the usual precinct voting place. Those sick or away may register by agent or mail with county clerk guidance. A misunderstanding over ages clarified 21 to 38 inclusive means you register if you turn 21 by June 5 but are under 31 then. Community items note a farm stock shipping meeting, travel news, local club party, rainfall reports, and Scandia sports plans for summer and Fourth of July preparations.
