Kansas Wesleyan Philharmonic choir members led by Willard Nelson of Scandia completed a 2500 mile tour, delivering 13 concerts in Oklahoma City Galveston New Orleans Vicksburg Little Rock and other towns. Mr and Mrs Henry Simmons joined Mr and Mrs Walter Anderson for Friday supper.

A program titled The Hope of a Nation was purchased by Supt. Miller for school use featuring 36 graphs tied to each poster. Kansas Governor Names Milt Amrine as State Prison Warden

From 86 applications the Scandia School Board chose William E. Hodges of Miller to succeed Fredan Miller. Hodges, hired from Miller High School where he coached, has taught at DeGraff and Gypsum and holds degrees from the University of Kansas. He plans to move his family to Scandia in summer.
