Rydal News School Then Picnic and Social at District 84
Mr and Mrs Gus Freed and Miss Clara Melby visited at the Nelson home Monday evening. Mrs Farlee and Dorothy visited Mrs McHenry Sunday afternoon. Mrs Walter Boman has been ill. April 27 marked the last day of school at district 84 despite bad roads. Patrons arrived at noon with baskets for dinner and songs followed by ice cream and cake in the basement. Miss Melby received a cut glass berry dish. Several visitors and local families shared in the day and a ball game was played in Ian Carpenter’s pasture.
