Centennial kick off features old time events in Salina
The Salina Journal notes Centennial activities began last year with a band concert ice cream social barbecue and other events. A box supper in March stirred memories of old times while the Sorosis Club and Father-Son Banquet honored Scandia’s history. Centennial reminders appear in beards car tags and envelopes as preparations for a big July 17 to 20 celebration intensify.
