Fourth of July festivities light Scandia with crowds and fireworks
The town celebrated with a city hall program, a baseball game between Courtland and Scandia, a water battle, and a minstrel show that drew up to 10 000 spectators. Fireworks lit Sand pipe hill while vendors ran short of ice cream. Proceeds from events funded church additions and a river camp, with hundreds of locals and visitors in attendance.
