Republic County has been credited with 204 392 dollars in purchases of Series E and Series H United States Savings Bonds for the first five months of 1962. A H James County Savings Bonds Chairman said the five month total reached 79 percent of the 257 000 dollar quota. State Chairman J Hardin Smith reported Kansas buyers totaled 31 611 767 dollars toward a 47 500 00 dollar quota, reaching 67 percent of the Drive goal as the Freedom Bond Drive runs through June 30.
