Scandia Battling to Cuba in Lopsided Loss
Scandia mailed to Cuba Friday with a crippled lineup and fell 12 to 2 as Cuba’s batting dominated. Five new Cubans sparked the assault with singles doubles and triples. Linden pitched part of the game before Sprinker. Newton handled the bat well for Scandia but infield errors and a rushed three base run by Sprinker led to the heavy loss. Umpire E.E. Baird officiated satisfactorily. both teams may meet again on the Fourth.
