City approves sale of light and power plant to local buyers

W A Brazil and M E McGregor, Buffalo cattle buyers, have purchased the city owned light and power plant and will deliver power in the future. The sale followed a special city election with near unanimous voter approval. McGregor, known locally as Mutt, is the son of Mrs Lilly McGregor, and The Journal wishes him success.

Death of Oscar Bergstrom in Scandia Obituary

Oscar Bergstrom aged 65 died at his Scandia home early Tuesday morning. He is survived by his widow and sister Mrs. C. W. Carlson of Rackley. Funeral services Friday at 2:00 from the home and 2:45 at Ada Lutheran Church near Rackley. Burial in Ada cemetery. Also reporting Scandia defeated Republic 7 to 2 in a recent ball game.
