Scandia Prepares To Meet Grainfield In Sub-District Clash
Scandia faces Grainfield at 7:00 p m this Thursday night at Smith Center in the American Legion base ball tournament. The Gove County squad, boasting a tough but inconsistent record, has shown it can challenge stronger teams as Clifton found last Sunday in a 3 1 victory. Jim Reed homered to key a 6 2 win over Linn on July 11 at Scandia field, while the Smith Center game from the previous Thursday was erased from the schedule.
