Jack Haviland Races to Victory in Vendome Gridiron Tale
In a campus football drama at Vendome, freshman Jack Haviland, mocked for a missing jersey and odd signals, becomes the unlikely hero. After taunts like Christy’s corpse and a critical late play, he carries Downtown’s hopes to a dramatic touchdown amid a crowded crowd. Edna Brown, the coed, watches as Jack seals the win with a jump and a grasp of the ball at goal line sight.
