The church invites all to hear Christ in gospel, Sunday school, and services. The Lutheran ladies plan a Haggberg sale next Monday and request two pies from each person. Minutes of the annual meeting will be read after Sunday morning services. Pastor Chas Pehrson extends the invitation.
The Methodist church schedules regular Sunday services at 10 36 A M with potential communion next Sunday if mild. Attendance has been strong. Those seeking church letters or profession of faith may join. Special meetings are planned April 13 23 with Rev C G Westerdahl of Chicago assisting.
Presbyterian notes announce Sunday 11 o clock service on The Water of Life with an illustrated acrostic for children. Six letter word clues invite kids to decode a health message and form words from the letters, with prizes for four winners. Minister J M Mahaffey urges parents to bring children.
United Brethren Church announces morning and evening services each Sunday with Sunday school at 10, sermon at 11 and 7:30. Union C E at 6:45. Cartoon sermon next Sunday evening titled Knotty Problems. Thursday services include orchestra 7:90 chorus 7:30 prayer 8. Pastor W S Baker urges union revival efforts for Scandia churches.

Mrs. Nettie Helper visited in Mankato Tuesday. U and I Art Club meets with Mrs. Chas Freed Friday the twenty ninth. Alfred Rasmussen and sons spent Sunday at the Lloyd Rasmussen home in Republic. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ewens of Belleville visited Geo. Mathis. Mrs. Oberia Ryan hosted dinner for several guests. Carl and Cecil Moller may stay in Healey Kansas with their agents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haines and family visited the Thompsons. W P Shivvers plans extension of Main Street bridge with federal aid, offering contractor work.
