According to prior arrangements the group met at J I Jonson's on Dec 26 to stage a dramatic touch of high life for J T and his bride. Gene Nelson was chosen captain with Avlie Bowersox and Basil Hammond as Lieutenants. guards were posted at crossroads to trap Mr Johnson. The group prepared eight to ten double barreled shotguns loaded heavily and about ten rounds of ammo, plus miscellaneous props including a wagon load of old tin pails and pans and a road scraper.
