Death of Mrs Daisy Gulick in Topeka
Mrs Daisy Lucia Gulick 80 of 42 Topeka died Friday in a Topeka hospital. Born April 9 1874 in Scotland County Missouri she came to Kansas in 1879 settling in Graham County. She and her husband the late Sen William B Gulick ran a general store at Scatedia for years. She moved to Topeka in 1924 and directed the state labor department women and children division. Survived by two sons Charles W Gulick Salt Lake City and Fred E Gulick Denver a daughter Mrs Vincent J Pob rala Denver a sister Mrs Ray Emry Ericson and two grandchildren. Funeral 11 am Monday Wall Diffenderfer Mortuary Mount Hope cemetery.

Rolla Canfield died in the night from a heart attack. He ran the Scandia Leather Shop for over ten years and was a town booster. He leaves his widow, a daughter Mrs Bill Arnold of Courtland, a son Andy Canfield in the U S Navy, four grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Belleville with burial in Belleville cemetery.
