Supt Walker hosted as toastmaster with players addressing toasts such as Kick Off and First and Ten. Andrew Stromberg Dies After Long Illness in Republic County
Andrew Stromberg died at home in Republic after a weeks long illness. He was over 75 and native of Sweden who homesteaded near Scandia before moving to Republic seventeen years ago. He is survived by his wife four sons and two daughters, a sister and a niece. Funeral was held at Republic and burial at Riverview cemetery. The Idol Fellows club had supported his funeral. A girls basketball game in Norway ended 11 to 8. A Republic county club formed at the University of Kansas in Kansas City aims to boost local college interest during Christmas.
