She was born September 13 1872 in Rantoul Illinois moved to Scandia in 1880 and to Kansas City Kan in 1900 after marriage to a Union Pacific Railroad engineer who died in 1951. She remains active reading newspapers without glasses listening to radio and television and enjoys gardening embroidery and crocheting.
