Henry H. Van Natta announces candidacy for Probate Judge on the Republican ticket subject to the August primary. Chas P Nordman seeks the Republican nomination for Sheriff of Republic County, to serve in the past term and face party voters in August.
J West announces candidacy for Treasurer of Republic County subject to Republican voters will at the August primary election. He seeks support from party members and outlines campaign intentions.
Clarence Feldhausen of Palmer died Friday morning while clearing a trench on a bridge crew south of Haddam. The bank caved in as he retrieved a saw, crushing his chest. he was pronounced dead by Dr. Bothwell after being brought to town. The report also notes jury rulings in separate damage suits and local improvements such as the White Way lighting system near Court House square. Margaret Fleagle won Finney county spelling honors and will compete at Topeka.
