Girl Reserves Lead Assembly Hour At March Event

Father Son Banquet at Lutheran Church Aims for March 25
The annual father and son banquet will be held in the basement of the Lutheran church on Monday evening March 25. The theme is A Chip off the Old Block. Principal Karns of Concordia High School will be the main speaker, with songs, a boys sextette rendition Kentucky Babe, and a cornet solo by Paul Albro. Hi Y boys are selling tickets.

Courtland High hosts county music festival chorus
The Courtland High School auditorium hosts the county music festival at 7 30 p m Friday March 29 featuring Scandia High School Mixed Chorus performing Beautiful Dreamer directed by Ruthmian with Betty Irene Larson as accompanist. Additional performers listed include Flesher Anna Marie Jengen Lareda Ball Betty Johnson and Ruth Jean Larson. The piece portrays G R principles in girls lives. The G R sextette performed two numbers dedicated to Hi dove, closing with Follow the Givam and the G R denediction.

Scandia Flying Swedes Win Class B District Tournament
The Scandia Flying Swedes upset the dope bucket teams to win the Class B District Tournament. Led by Gene Larson and Val Jean Jacksons, they defeated Norway 27 21, Narka 29 27, Agenda 17 16, Munden 28 18, then surged in the final with Larson scoring early baskets to build a 10 2 lead. This marked their first championship.

Fred Jarvis Visits Hi Y Meeting
