Names include Alexander and Lemls, Charles Cowms, Barnabus Wilimime, Pratt, Ostrander, Moseley, and Remington with court and office locations in Baraboo and Madison. The item blends advertising with obituary-like notices and Horatian verse fragment.
A fragmentary verse piece by Charles Sywnin warns that a tale improves after another is told. It muses on friendship, memory, and the courage to defend a friend, urging resolve when storms come and heartache rises. The speaker laments misremembered lessons and the shifting trust of companions.
From the Waukesha Democrat dated May 22 1652 a note claims to publish a flowing wonderful tale from a reported source. The fragment mentions D Bargow Esq and a friend who lies to dig and takes the paper. The wording is obscure and seems like a hoax or prank brought by a correspondent.
