Fourth of July Celebration at Bradenton and Tampa Events

Bradenton prepares for a grand Glorious Fourth with free refreshments, motor cycle races from Manatee avenue to the court house square in Bradenton, and auto speed events. A baseball championship game between Palmetto and Bradenton, plus a long car race from Tampa to Bradenton, all start at 2 p.m. and 8 a.m. respectively, with trophies and prizes.

Captain Harrison Mauled by Car On Main Street

Monday morning Captain W. O. Harrison of Bayonne was injured when his car, started in low gear, rolled forward onto him near Mr Turner's garage on Main Street. A crowd lifted the auto. he suffered bruises and scalp lacerations but is recovering slowly and hopes to resume duties soon.
