Tuberculosis Camp Planned Near Jacksonville By Associated Charities

The Associated Charities of Jacksonville will establish a tuberculosis camp to aid the poor affected by the disease. Incipient cases will receive outdoor living care to ward off illness and restore health, while advanced cases aim to make end days as comfortable as possible. The Florida Methodist Conference meets December 14 in Jacksonville to set ministerial appointments for next year, with a new presiding elder to be chosen after Rev. W. M. Poage completes his four year term.

Rebuilding Plan For Ocala Fire Site Leads To Modern Plant

The burned Cold Storage and Canning Co plant in Ocala will be rebuilt before completion with newer larger facilities and modern machinery. A new glass factory worth about 125000 dollars will be built in Jacksonville employing 250 workers. Four U S Navy battleships Minnesota Vermont Mississippi and Idaho under Rear Admiral Murdock will visit Florida next spring for six weeks of drills in Pensacola and Key West. Mary Baker Eddy founder of Christian Science died in Boston on December 4 at age ninety after a long illness.
