Sarasota Infant Drowns In Bath
Mark Thomas Smith ten month old son of Mr and Mrs Frank Smith of 3707 W Forest Lakes Drive drowned in a bathtub at the Smith home shortly before 10 a m. A maid found the child floating and the father gave artificial respiration. The South Trail Volunteer Fire Department ambulance rushed him to Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr Henry G Morton. Assistant State's Attorney William H Stockham said the drowning was accidental. Smith is a partner of King and Smith developers of South Gate and Forest Lakes.
