Sarasota driver dies in Highway 301 crash near Bradenton
A 62 year old St. Petersburg man Lewis Raymond Hart Jr. died at the scene when his car overturned after leaving the road on Highway 301 south of Bradenton. Hart a Sarasota Screen Enclosures employee was reportedly speeding in a 40 mile zone after a pre dawn drink. His companion G E Evans 41 of Route 3 Sarasota survived with a brain concussion and other injuries. Evans co owned the company and moved from St. Petersburg a month ago. Hart’s body was taken to Griffith Cline Funeral Home and services planned in St. Petersburg. He is survived by a wife, a daughter in Connecticut and a step son now serving in the armed forces.
