Boat capsizes capsizing tragedy near Bayshore Gardens

In Bradenton the body of Clarence Arthur Link aged 42 was found floating in Sarasota Bay near a capsized 12 foot boat about two miles southwest of Bayshore Gardens at 1 27 am. His companion Lee Allen Danner 25 swam to shore to summon help. Danner said the wives had reported a missing persons bulletin at 9 10 pm and searches with sheriff deputies private boats a helicopter and a plane from Anna Maria Island airport were launched near Terra Ceia Bay and U S 19 before locating the drowned man and boat.

Bryant Plan Would Double Gross Tax

Gov Farris Bryant proposed doubling the 1 percent state gross receipts tax on public utilities to 3 percent to fund counties. Belinda Lee Dies In Desert Crash In England Style Icon

Belinda Lee a 25 year old English beauty described as England's Bardot Loren was killed when a car she rode in blew a back tire skidded and flipped 12 miles east of a desert community. Passengers included Alet Nino Falenza of Malibu driver and Paola Cavara 34 of Los Angeles. The injured were taken to Bar Hospital. Lee had previously broken off her engagement to Jacopetti and was revived by an iron lung before later returning to her husband in Italy.
