Death of Mr. J. F. Curtis on way to Sarasota
News confirms Mr. J. F. Curtis died of heart trouble at Boston North Station while seeking his trunk check on a trip to Sarasota. His widow Mrs. Philbrick waited two hours before learning of the death. Funeral held Saturday October 15 at the Granite State House in Kennebunkport Maine, Curtis's summer resort.

Railroad Service to Boca Grande Restored After Gulf Storm
Lakeland reports confirm railroad communication with Boca Grande is back. No loss of life found, but damage is heavy. The Miakki river bridge and two Charlotte Harbor bay bridges were washed away, delaying train service for two to three weeks per railroad officials.
