A crowded roster of visitors and residents fills Sarasota scene as Mr. G. M. Brown visits from Muskegon and Mrs. W. H. Woods and son Gerald spend weekend with kin. Noting from Belle Haven Inn, Get prices on Paint from Silcox, and Silcox paints stay white. Local figures include J. J. Johnson seeking a winter home and S. R. Jaques arriving with friends for kingfishing season.
Miss Julia Yates visits Fort Myers with Miss Lorena Stout. Geo B Prime and J E Battle travel to Tampa to serve on the Federal grand jury. James Spiers and wife stay from Lansdale Pa for the season. A B Edwards called to Tampa for jury service. Walter S Scott and wife return to St Louis after a month at Eagle Point. C M Howard and family move to town occupying W C Howard’s home pending completion.
Friends report Mrs. M. J. Levey improving after a serious illness. Mrs. Beresford Prior returns from Tampa Bayside hospital after treatment. Mrs. Lawrence A. Pyle and children depart Washington DC for Sarasota after a pleasant stay. W G Riles announces new watchmaker service at 429 Main St Bradenton. Dr J Barney Low visits and will stay with daughter Mrs. Paul Thompson for the season.
Mrs. Marion McAdow, a noted writer and local resident, recently arrived in Punta Gorda and is staying as a guest at the Wtrous hotel.
Mrs M L Bryan and her daughter Miss Rea from Etowah Tennessee depart Thursday for DeLard after visiting Mr and Mrs C W Latham for a week.
A Nokomis representative will visit Mr Edward's office on Wednesday afternoon to discuss local matters as advertised. The appointment aims to address community concerns and outline Nokomis positions.

Mrs. Mason B. Hunt and Miss W321 hard Pelot visited friends in Tampa last week and attended the fair. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Stevenson of Jacksonville are guests of the Mango Avenue hotel for a few days. Mr. Wm. V. Sipple is visiting his daughter Mrs. Mary Bromley and two grandsons from Milford Delaware.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bather of New York City are spending a brief stay in Sarasota as guests of the Mango Avenue hotel.
Mr J H Radebaugh of Columbus Ohio arrived Tuesday for a brief stay in Sarasota and is settled at the Sarasota House during his visit.
A city note corrects a report that Mrs J B Chapline sold her Palm Avenue residence. The property has been rented for the season and remains in her name.
Miss C. E. Gaskill of Philadelphia and Miss M. H. Fisher of Baltimore are spending a few days in Sarasota as guests of the Hotel Watrous.
E. B. Snider of Charleston West Virginia was among winter visitors arriving in Sarasota registering at the Mango Avenue hotel for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. C. Sullivan and Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Ford of Columbus Ohio, touring the state by auto, registered at the Mango Avenue hotel for a few days this week.
Mrs. J. W. Stroup of Decatur Hl has been staying at the Belleview Hotel Belleair and arrived in Sarasota on Saturday as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. U. Leonhauser.
Mr D E Cardinal and Mrs Cardinal of Woodruff Wisconsin and Mr and Mrs R G McLean of Chicago are visiting Sarasota. They are registered at the Hotel Watrous and plan to spend some time there.
Mrs. Mary R. Perkins and Miss Marie Zimmerman of New York, guests of the Eagle Point Club, were seen passing through on an auto trip to Jacksonville where they will spend a few days before sailing.
Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Crawford and their little son arrived from Plainfield New Jersey to spend the winter at Crawford Manor on the bay. Andrew Vanderbeek accompanies them from their home town. Also onboard Mr. Ringling’s yacht Zumbrota are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ringling and a party of friends. Dr. J. W. Hoffman and Mr. Frederick B. Jones arrived in Sarasota to spend the season at the Belle Haven Inn. The Coykendalls from Lawton Michigan joined the season guests arriving from Punta Gorda, noting many changes since their last visit.
The fifth D. A. R. meeting at Miss West's was enjoyable and instructive. Mrs. Small sang and Mrs. Hempstead presented an interesting paper on Florida section. Light refreshments were served with Mrs. Fowler assisting.
A. E. Webster of Berlin Connecticut spent the weekend in Sarasota as a guest at the Hotel Watrous. Mrs. Mariam Meadow from Punta Gorda visited for a few days and registered at the same hotel. Mrs. Wm. Bucher with her daughter and grandson from Columbus Ohio arrived Thursday for their first Sarasota visit, also staying at the Hotel Watrous.
Mr and Mrs E Mitchell of Washington Conn were among Monday arrivals at the Mango Avenue hotel where they plan to spend the balance of their visit.
Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Yarbrough and others visited the South Florida Fair on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo L. Thacker and son George, Mrs. C. W. S. Wilson, and Mrs. Heywood were among the visitors. W. M. Jackson and his son from Piedmont South Carolina arrived for the season and stayed at the Hotel Watrous in Sarasota.
Sarasota sent a delegation to the Shriners parade at the South Florida Fair listing I G Archibald C E Hitchines R B Curry J E Moore Ed Roth J Claude Turner Harold Jensen Dr F W Schultz Judge Fish Geo W Strong W J Bryan and several visiting Shriners. Sarasota mourns no local candidate among those considered.
J P Petroutsa of Jacksonville and J C Changuris a New York florist are visiting Sarasota and staying at Mango Avenue hotel. Mrs Petroutsa is to join next week. Petroutsa is known locally for land holdings north of Sarasota and a past successful truck grower. He now runs a confectionery business in Jacksonville.
G W Peters of Columbus departs after a brief Florida visit at Belle Haven Inn. He plans a return next season. Johnstown couple Ashbrook arrive to visit Burns Hempstead and L L Lake. Ex congressman Ashbrook, editor of the Johnstown Independent, tours Philadelphia and Washington. Akron pair Campbell and companions enjoy sun and fishing as they consider Sarasota the best Florida town.
At the Woman's Club a colonial ball with good music and a minuet danced in costume and surprise features. Tickets are $1.00 each.
