Convicts Escape From New Mexico Penitentiary
The Queen Bee led four inmates to slip from the territorial penitentiary under cover of a storm night. Currence, Huber, Gould, and Clark, all long-term prisoners, used the kitchen cage and sawed bars to reach the cellar window. Investigation cites locks, guard lapses, and a missing night watchman as factors in the breakout.
