Nine members met September 23 at Mrs. Roy Adams home to plan the Jaycettes haunted house for Halloween night. The spook house will be in the Beardmore building below the old bank, organizers say.
Three Libby Montana youths Gary L Lucky 18 Dan M Johnson 19 and Benjamin C Thede 17 were arraigned in Sandpoint Justice Court on grand larceny charges for stealing a taps player and speakers from a parked car Bond set at 500 each Thede posted and was released others remain jailed awaiting trial date set later by Judge Margaret Burns.
Congressman Jim McClure spoke at the District 1 Idaho Wildlife Federation gathering at Priest Lake. He described a three phase junk car disposal bill for introduction in the House and noted it has slim chances of passage. He also discussed timber supply and forestry management to meet future housing needs amid local development concerns near Beauty Bay.
Two suspects, Daniel G. Davey and Ferris Lee Turner, face resisting an officer charges on $250 bond. Deputy Mike Davidson reported Turner threatened a sheriff’s deputy with a rifle in Gowen Field area. Andrus Day events in Bonner and Boundary Counties include luncheon, headquarters opening, tea, coffee, and a fund raising dinner at Trainers Restaurant with a seven dollar fifty cent plate.
